Under the new continuing competence regime which becomes compulsory on 1st November 2016, you will need to record and reflect on your development.

With this in mind we've developed the Competence Gateway, an interactive online tool to help you manage your learning and development.

How it works in 3 simple steps:

1) Select

Select your field of law and/or area of responsibility to see the most relevant activities for you from the Wilmington Legal family. You can refine your search further or browse all the options. Wilmington Legal activities are from trusted providers such as Central Law Training, ARK Group, Legal Compliance Association and Solicitors Journal.

2) Reflect

Complete the activity you chose, reflect on your learning and rate your development in the four competencies:

  • Ethics, professionalism and judgement
  • Technical legal practice
  • Working with other people
  • Managing yourself and your own work

3) Collect

Your personalised page allows you to keep track of your development over the year. A simple graph allows you to see at a glance how you are developing in the four competencies, and your training record can be easily exported to spreadsheet or PDF at any time.
